Referees should know that Colorado has always charged an additional state fee to referees.  This state fee is used to support referee education programs across the state and also provides funds for referees who travel to youth and amateur regional tournaments, as well as, other referee development opportunities.

Our goal is to continue to provide the numerous educational and development programs that we currently operate to support Colorado referees. Based upon our estimates, we believe that the newly adopted fee structure will allow the Committee to continue to provide quality programs for referees of this state without significantly altering the burden on our youngest referees and requiring slightly more from our senior referees.

As referees, our responsibility is to the “game” and we believe that you will focus your knowledge and energy to fulfilling your calling. Please do not be discouraged or disenchanted with the process. The Colorado Joint Referee Committee is committed to making your experience both satisfying and affordable.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Colorado Joint Referee Committee.
